String-ent Tile

Here is my response to this week's challenge.  Strings in drawing do not blend well with me. I much prefer a free-spirit doodling, and feels the string confines me. So I decided to take this challenge head on, and explore this out-of-my-confort-zone string thingy.

Went better than expected I must say, I still don't like the idea of a string, and immediately after I had to draw another two sketches with no borders. But I did discover it is possible for me.

So without further ado, here it is

  7. I love your tile and the touch of red in it and also the linework is great. As I like zentangle as it was 'in the base', I do use strings quite often, but not always and I like both ways.

  8. A very bright and fun tile! Your shading is great and the touch of red really adds to the whole. I agree with you too about strings, I usually don't draw a string. Somehow it's in my mind's eye and I just don't need it. Great work here!
