Halflings

Contrary to popular belief
The opposite of love is not hatred
It is fear

Hatred, ever so loud
While fear is seldom allowed

In our hearts
Where the diamond sun shines
In our hearts

Here is my response to this week's challenge .
The interesting thing is that I started drawing it last week, before I even knew what the challenge was. I took an A4 paper, and filled it with circles around 1.5" in diameter.
My original intention was to fill them slowly, and as it turned out, it was a perfect fit for the challenge.

  3. I had to spend some time, Omer, reading over and over what you wrote on the top. So very true. Then I moved on to the happy little circles with the one on top as the sun in your heart and the center one beaming empty for the future.

    1. Thank you Jean. Only after reading your words I realized the empty circle was "beaming".

  7. Omer, I, like Jean, had to read and re read your words of such strong meaning!! You are always full of such deep and meaningful words! I hope that someday you'll be able to one day write without the shadows of darkness. But you do always show light in your Zentangle tiles! They are all beautiful!! May that light continue to shine and grow brighter!! (((hugs))) to you! :0) Share Humanity

    1. Now it was my turn to read, and re-read your words. Especially "... someday you'll be able to write without the shadows of darkness ..."
This started a fascinating train of thoughts, when I asked myself what is this "shadow"? Is it the reality outside of me ("shadows of war") that got into me, or is it something inside me is shadow, and is reflected (projected) in things I see or create.
      Very very interesting

    2. Oh, Omer, not to be hard on yourself!! I meant (shadows of war). Because your artwork 'always' shows such light and happiness. I can tell that it gives you an escape and allows you to feel hope and joy. Your words are what explain to us, (those of us, who have now idea what it's like to live in the fear that you are living in) the feelings that you feel, because of your country's situation. And even though your words speak of pain and fear, they are real and they help each and everyone of us to have an understanding of a life so different than ours. It unites us and allows for compassion and understanding. Whew, sorry for getting so deep. I just have a heartfelt compassion for you and your loved ones when I read your posts. And I hope and pray that someday there will be peace for you and for generations to come. Peace in the world!!! (((hugs and more hugs))))) Annette :0)
